I have had the distinct privilege of serving Ankeny's 6th and 7th grade students and their parents for the past 15 years. I have earned my Bachelors of Science in education from Drake University; Masters of Arts in K-12 school policy and administration; and post-graduate (CAS) certification in public policy, leadership and administration at Iowa State University. Currently I am pursuing my doctorate in educational leadership at Iowa State University. Most importantly, I lead an outstanding and very professional staff of highly qualified educators who are dedicated to working with your child so that they may succeed at high levels in a small learning community. Please feel encouraged to visit this site weekly for important messages (Critical Announcements), current classroom curriculum activity (Student Agenda/Teams), and updated student performance results (Infinite Campus). Additionally, we have a full array of media services (Media Center), exhibitions of student work (Exhibition Hall), food choices for lunch (Lunch Menu), guidance services (Guidance), etc.
Your active involvement in your child’s learning will increase his/her achievement. Knowing how busy families are with work, activities outside of school, and school sponsored activities, active participation can occur during hours of the day that fall outside the traditional school schedule. Thus, this website is an invaluable tool for you.
